Important Note for FamilySearch Users

Post by AQForumAdmin »

FamilySearch made a change overnight that is affecting Ancestral Quest's direct connection to FamilySearch Family Tree. Either they will undo the change, or we will put out a new build in the next day or so. Either way you should be back up and running soon. Until then, we advise you to not use the tools that connect/review your local file with FamilySearch and check back here, often, for any news on how to proceed.

FamilySearch made a change on Friday April 16 that had affected Ancestral Quest's direct connection to FamilySearch Family Tree. They have corrected that change, and the tools within AQ that work directly with FamilySearch Family tree are fully functioning, now.

If you were affected by the above issue, and experienced error notices, please visit this page on our website to read the update and steps on how to proceed: https://ancquest.com/fs-update.htm

The change that FamilySearch initiated on Friday April 16 that caused issues in Ancestral Quest will be reinstated on Friday, April 23. If you use any of the FamilySearch Family Tree tools within AQ, you will want to update AQ 16 to the newest build, 9, before using the FamilySearch abilities within Ancestral Quest.
